Australian Camp & Sarangkot Trek

After arrive in Phedi, we hike to Dhampus. During the hiking we may see mountains view and local villages, local people and way of life style. The terrace of rice is wonderful. The journey to Dhampus village is one of the paradises of Nepal. From here one trek alongside beautiful views of golden rice terraces the vast expanse of the Annapurna Mountain range. Just a short scenic hike through jungle from Dhampus is one hour walking up to get Australian Camp.

Australian Camp is a beautiful village best known for its sunrise, where on a clear day you can see an magnificent view of the Himalayan including Annapurna range, Dhauligiri range, Fishtail and also beautiful green hills. On next day we walk from Australian camp to Sarangkot, which is a beautiful village best known for its sunrise, where on a clear day you can see an unobstructed view of the Himalayan Mountains of Annapurna range, Dhauligiri range, Fishtail and also beautiful green hills, terraces of rice and the beautiful view of pokhara valley.

Australian Camp and Sarangkot Trek Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1,300m) transfer with assistance to hotel.
Day 02: Full day visit in Kathmandu city and evening free, preparation for trekking.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara (2,986ft): 6hrs drive or 30minutes flight
Day 04: Pokhara - Phedi - Dhampus  - Australian Camp (2165m), 40min drive and 3/4 hours walking
Day 05: Australia Camp - Sarangkot (1600m), 5/6 Hours easy walk)
Day 06: Sarangkot to Pokhara (820m), 4 hours
Day 07: Pokhara - Kathmandu Drive by Car / Van / Tourist Bus (6:00hrs) or Fly (30minutes).
Day 08: Departure transfer to onward destination.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1,300m)
Meet us outside the airport, transfer to Hotel. Meet with trekking guide and discuss about necessary things.

Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast, keep full day valley sightseeing with Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah Kings of Nepal, visiting Kumari Temple, house of the virgin goddess, visiting Swoyambhunath, a stupa on the top of hill - from here you can overlook the scenery of Kathmandu, Visiting Patan city, the second largest town in the valley, Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple etc.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara (910m), Approx. 6 hours drive or 30 minutes flight
After breakfast, scenic drive or fly to Pokhara. Afternoon, walk around Lake city. Early evening, Trek briefing and final preparation.

Day 04: Pokhara - Phedi - Dhampus (1650m) - Australian Camp (2165m), approx. 3/4 hours walking
After breakfast, drive to Phedi (approx. 45 minutes drive). Trek up to Dhampus village, explore around Dhampus. After lunch, short trek to Australian camp where we can see very spectacular Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). We will enjoy with Sunset view over the Himalayas in the evening.

Day 05: Australia Camp - Sarangkot (1600m), 5/6 Hours walk
Early morning enjoy with sunrise view. After breakfast, from Australian Camp we will hike through the forestry slightly descend trail Naudanda (Nine hill). Stop for Lunch and continue hike to Sarangkot. The trail following the bit easy path along hill ridge to the dense settlement with mixed ethnic groups, from Sarangkot you can see spectacular mountain scenery and enchanting views of Pokhara valley and Lake.

Day 06: Sarangkot - Pokhara (4 hours)
It is a hiking through picturesque hill villages to the popular view point at Sarangkot. The terrace farms, the villages and above all the spectacular panoramic view from Sarangkot is simply unforgettable. On the same day hiking back to Pokahra. Afternoon, visit to David’s fall, Mahadev cave & Seti river George.

Day 07: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu by Car / Van / Tourist Bus (6hrs) or by flight (30minute)

Day 08: Departure
Transfer to international airport and fly to onward destination.
