It is believed that Rato Machhindranath resides here for six months of the year before moving to Patan.

The village suffered extensive damage in the 1934 earthquake, yet it remains a captivating destination. At its heart stands the Shree Rudrayani Devi (Shekala Mai) Temple, a striking triple-tiered structure.
